About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) for a night-shift contract within a Level IV NICU at a leading hospital in New York City. This role offers the opportunity to provide advanced neonatal care in a collaborative, high-acuity environment supporting newborns and their families. Ideal candidates are clinically strong, adaptable, and committed to delivering the highest standard of care in neonatal critical care settings.
The base pay for this position is $120 to $140 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage admissions and ongoing care for NICU patients, ensuring quality and continuity from stabilization through discharge
- Attend deliveries and provide immediate postnatal and resuscitative care for high-risk infants
- Perform or assist with advanced neonatal procedures such as intubations, umbilical and PIC line placements, arterial sticks, lumbar punctures, chest tubes, and exchange transfusions (as needed)
- Collaborate closely with attending physicians, fellows, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure evidence-based practice and effective communication
- Maintain thorough documentation of assessments, plans, and interventions using Epic EMR
Job Requirements
- Active New York State RN and NNP License (required)
- Master’s Degree and NCC Certification (required)
- Minimum 2 years of recent NNP experience in a Level III or IV NICU
- COVID-19 and Flu Vaccinations required
- Proficiency in Epic EMR
Job Details
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 8:30 AM | Nights Only
- Census: 10–15 patients per night
- Team Structure: 1 Fellow and 1 Attending Physician per shift
- Call: None
Contract Details
- Start Date: February 2026
- Duration: 13 Weeks | High Possibility to Extend
- Employment Options: Full-time preferred; part-time candidates may be considered if able to commit to a minimum of 6–7 shifts per month
- Travel Support: Two roundtrip airfares per month, lodging, and $50/day transportation per diem (for travelers)
