Human Resources Manager

Location: Northern New Jersey

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Our client, a growing biotech firm, is seeking a driven and organized Human Resource Manager. This position carries out responsibilities in the following areas: Employee Relations, Recruitment, Training, Benefits, Compensation, Health & Safety, Employee Communications, developing HR policies and maintaining an HR Information System.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Handle all areas of recruitment
  • Conduct new hire on boarding
  • Develop and curate culture initiatives as in pertains to employee engagement and retention
  • Coordinate or administer various aspects of the organization’s, training, organizational development, and employee relations programs
  • Perform routine administrative tasks to ensure HR processes are completed accurately, on time, and in accordance with established HR business processes
  • Maintain accurate records for individual employees regarding pay rates, shift details,
  • promotions, transfers, sick leave, etc.
  • Schedule, attend and document annual employee reviews
  • Prepare HR reports as needed

Job Requirements:

  • 6+ years of direct HR generalist experience
  • Experience with a pharmaceutical or biotech firm required
  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • HR Certification and/or advanced degree in Human Resources Management is preferred
  • Knowledge of NY employment laws, proper compliance procedures, and practices
  • Experience with full life cycle recruitment
