About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Outpatient Nurse Manager in New York City to lead our client’s nursing team in a community health setting. This role is focused on providing high-quality, patient-centered care to underserved populations, managing outpatient clinical services, and ensuring the efficient operation of the nursing department. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of community health, and a commitment to improving health outcomes for vulnerable populations.
The annual base salary range is $88,000 to $110,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the outpatient nursing team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care in a community health setting
- Manage, mentor, and provide leadership to a team of nurses, medical assistants, and support staff
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, social workers, and other team members to coordinate comprehensive care for patients
- Develop and implement clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and best practices within the clinic
- Monitor patient flow, staffing levels, and resources to optimize clinic efficiency
- Provide direct patient care when necessary, including assessment, triage, and follow-up care
- Participate in community outreach programs and initiatives aimed at improving public health and access to care
- Manage departmental budgets, inventory, and supplies
- Facilitate ongoing staff education and professional development opportunities
Job Requirements
- Active and unrestricted RN license in NY
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or Healthcare Administration preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of nursing experience in an outpatient or community health setting
- 2+ years of management or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of community health issues, preventive care, and patient education
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and populations
- Passion for serving underserved or vulnerable communities
