About the Opportunity
Our client, a renowned not-for-profit medical center in Englewood, New Jersey, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join their team. This individual in this role will play a vital part in delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care to women during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the well-being of women and infants while working within a collaborative and supportive healthcare environment.
The annual base salary range is $120,000 to $150,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive prenatal assessments, including physical examinations, health history reviews, and diagnostic tests
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to monitor the health and progress of expectant mothers
- Provide expert care during labor and childbirth, offering emotional support, pain management, and guidance to ensure a positive birthing experience
- Collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes for both mother and baby
- Conduct postpartum assessments and provide ongoing care to new mothers and their infants
- Offer guidance on newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery
- Provide routine gynecological care, including annual exams, family planning services, and reproductive health education
- Diagnose and treat common gynecological conditions
- Educate patients on pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care, fostering informed decision-making and self-care
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including obstetricians, pediatricians, and nurses, to ensure coordinated and holistic care
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting all aspects of patient care in accordance with regulatory standards
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nurse-Midwifery from an accredited program.
- Current certification as a Nurse Midwife
- Strong clinical and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and patient-centered care
