About the Opportunity
Our client located in New York, New York offers, housing, social services, and a diverse range of targeted programs designed to empower adult couples, single mothers, and families with children to overcome barriers to independent living. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Client Care Coordinators ability to assess each family to understand their strengths and determine their service needs. The client is dedicated to placing the longest-staying couples in the DHS system into permanent housing, supporting over 3,000 clients annually across New York City
The annual base salary range is $85,000 to $90,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Responsibilities
- Oversees the activities and responsibilities of Client Care Coordinators
- Ensures that Client Care Coordinators are meeting their obligations effectively
- Provides accountability oversight to ensure compliance with DHS regulations
- Monitors, reviews, and approves all documentation and cases handled by Client Care Coordinators, including progress notes and assessments
- Assists with performance evaluations of Client Care Coordinators
- Offers job coaching to Client Care Coordinators as needed
- Conducts monthly meetings with all Client Care Coordinators
- Leads team reviews of biopsychosocial assessments
- Plans and prepares meetings with Client Care Coordinators and other staff members
- Establishes connections with other agencies for networking purposes
- Provides short-term counseling, crisis intervention, risk assessment, safety planning, and psychoeducation (excluding psychotherapy)
- Essential Employees must report to work as scheduled during emergencies
Requirements
- Must be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker
- Knowledge of child and adolescent development; emotional/behavioral health; mental health, parent-child relationships; family dynamics and diagnostic classification
- Strong expertise in strength-based, solution-focused, and family-centered practice
- Knowledge of guidelines, policies and regulations relating to child welfare, safety, permanency and wellness
- Knowledge and experience with group-work, as well as, working with diverse cultures and ethnicities
