About the Opportunity
Our client in Suffolk County, NY is hiring a Corporate Controller to lead their finance team and support global financial strategy. Reporting to the CFO and partnering with the U.S. Site GM, this role offers a blend of operational leadership and strategic influence. The ideal candidate has a strong background in cost accounting, manufacturing finance, and ERP systems, and thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.
The annual base salary range is $175,000 to $225,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Establish financial practices, internal controls, and ensure accurate, timely reporting (internal/external)
- Hands-on management of finance operations—GL, AR/AP, payroll, cost accounting, consolidation
- Support long-term planning, budgeting, cash management, and capital investment decisions
- Lead annual audits and deliver consistent, timely financial statements
- Collaborate with GMs/Directors to drive data-informed decisions at the site level
- Coach and mentor high-potential team members to build strong internal capabilities
- Drive full ERP and cost accounting system utilization and related process improvements
- Ensure high performance and accountability across the finance team.
Job Requirements
- 10 years progressive experience in various accounting roles
- Strong cost accounting background, as an Assistant Controller or Controller
- Must have inventory and costing experience
- Bachelor’s degree
