About the Opportunity
Our client is a prestigious law firm that is seeking a Manager of Procurement to join their team in Manhattan. The role will be responsible for managing the implementation and maintenance of the company’s procurement policies. The ideal candidate is someone who excels in fast-paced settings, seamlessly balancing independent and collaborative work, with expertise in sourcing specialized items, a deep understanding of purchasing processes, and a knack for innovative problem-solving.
The annual base salary range is $150,000 to $175,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop an effective and efficient procurement stagey to help drive cost-saving initiatives
- Oversee and manage the support staff
- Ability to negotiate effectively
- Liaise with budget holders to analyze and plan for the annual budget
- Help institute best practices as it relates to contract management and strategic sourcing
- Monitor suppliers’ performance in line with established KPIs, contractual obligations, and service level agreements
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred
- 8+ years of procurement experience including extensive contract negotiation experience
- Experience navigating online souring software
- Strong leadership communications skills, confidence in communicating with seniors leaders
