Pediatric Nurse Practitioner / Family Nurse Practitioner (Bilingual)

About the Opportunity

Our client is a mission-driven Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) dedicated to providing high-quality care to underserved pediatric populations. They are seeking a skilled and passionate Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join their outpatient center team in Brooklyn, New York. The outpatient center focuses on holistic, patient-centered care, ensuring equitable access to healthcare for all families in the community.  The ideal candidate will have significant experience working with pediatric patients, a strong understanding of the unique challenges faced by underserved communities, and a background in non-profit or FQHC settings.

The annual base salary range is $140,000 to $160,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services to pediatric patients, including routine check-ups, immunizations, and management of acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Perform health assessments, physical exams, and diagnostic tests; interpret findings to guide care decisions
  • Educate and counsel patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of medical conditions
  • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare providers to coordinate care and ensure continuity
  • Advocate for patients and families to access community resources, support services, and social determinants of health interventions
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, community outreach programs, and educational efforts to enhance the center’s impact

 

Job Requirements

  • Must speak either of the following languages: Spanish, Russian, or Urdu
  • Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in NY and national board certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner
  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience working with pediatric patients in an outpatient or primary care setting
  • Previous experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or non-profit healthcare setting preferred
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
  • Strong clinical and critical thinking skills
