About the Opportunity
Our client is a healthcare agency that is currently expanding their footprint across the New York Metropolitan area. They are seeking an experienced Physical Therapist in Queens to provide home-based services, with specialized knowledge of treatment practices and clinical expertise.
The annual base salary range is $105,000 to $127,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Travel to and from patients’ homes to provide physical therapy as prescribed by a physician, in accordance with the care plan
- Design personalized, one-on-one treatment plans that promote optimal results
- Assess treatment outcomes at various stages and adjust plans to ensure maximum benefits
- Conduct consultations with patients to understand their physical conditions, symptoms, and review medical histories and doctor referrals
- Diagnose movement dysfunction by observing patients and listening to their concerns
- Develop evidence-based care programs tailored to improve patient outcomes
- Provide hands-on therapy, such as massage, to relieve pain and stimulate healing
- Maintain detailed patient records, tracking progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Instruct family members, home health aides, and caregivers in appropriate therapy techniques and the recovery process
Job Requirements
- Active Physical Therapy License in NY
- Master’s degree or higher in Physical Therapy
- Minimum 3 years of Physical Therapy experience
- Ability to manage diverse patient personalities
- Up-to-date knowledge of physical therapy treatment practices
