About the Opportunity
Our client, a leading New York City hospital system, is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for Nurse Educator roles in Brooklyn and Manhattan. These full-time contract positions are ideal for skilled nurses with strong clinical experience who are passionate about education, mentorship, and advancing nursing practice across diverse hospital settings. As a Nurse Educator, you’ll play a key role in guiding and developing nursing staff, promoting evidence-based care, and fostering professional growth throughout the organization.
The base pay for these positions are $85 to $95 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and lead staff education, training, and competency programs
- Provide clinical instruction, mentorship, and support for nursing teams
- Coordinate orientation and ongoing education for new and existing staff
- Collaborate with leadership to assess educational needs and improve clinical outcomes
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and accreditation standards
- Promote a culture of safety, learning, and continuous improvement
Job Requirements
- Active New York State RN License — Required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Nursing — Preferred
- AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification — Required
- Minimum 2 years of acute care or specialty nursing experience — Required
- Prior educator, preceptor, or clinical instructor experience — Preferred
