About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated individual to join our clients team in Brooklyn as the Vice President of Behavioral Health. This leadership position will play a crucial role in shaping and overseeing their behavioral health programs, with a focus on substance abuse treatment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with the substance abuse population, along with at least five years of leadership experience in a similar role.
The annual base salary range is $90,000 to $110,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the behavioral health department, with a focus on substance abuse treatment programs.
- Oversee the development and implementation of evidence-based treatment protocols and interventions.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards related to behavioral health services.
- Collaborate with other departments and community partners to enhance and expand behavioral health services.
- Provide supervision and support to clinical staff, including therapists, counselors, and case managers.
- Monitor and evaluate program outcomes and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Represent the organization in external meetings and conferences related to behavioral health.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in behavioral health or substance abuse treatment
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices and treatment modalities for substance abuse
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and program development
