About the Opportunity
Our client is a prestigious financial services firm in Manhattan that is seeking a strategic and data-driven VP of Compensation to lead the design, execution, and oversight of compensation programs across the organization. This role is responsible for aligning compensation practices with business goals, regulatory requirements, and our overall talent strategy. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in financial services compensation, including incentive design, executive pay, and pay equity, and will serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on all matters related to compensation. They are currently operating on a hybrid schedule.
The annual base salary range is $135,000 to $225,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Support the annual salary and bonus planning cycle by providing data and documentation that supports the budget recommendation; assist in the development of salary increase guidelines; and perform the annual setup task in the human resource system
- Comply and analyze compensation survey data to determine the organization’s pay status relevant to the market
- Support the Recruitment team and HR Business Partners with market job pricing and compensation-related inquiries
- Respond to internal ad-hoc requests related to compensation
- Provide reporting (writing, maintaining & supporting) and information delivery related to metrics and compensation data, as requested
- Participate in compensation development/training activities
Job Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of work experience required; preferred 6-10 years in a compensation related role, executive compensation and/or CEO
- Board level presentation experience required
- Exp with carried interest is a plus
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Microsoft Excel proficient (Formulas, Pivot Tables, Macros, etc.)
- Solid analytical, mathematical, and research skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
