About the Opportunity:

As a CT Technologist, you confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating scans, strictly adhering to department policy and patient safety procedures. This full-time contract position requires coordinating with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging, preparing patients for scans, explaining procedures to ensure comfort, and inserting IVs when necessary. You position patients, which may include lifting those with limited mobility, while employing safe patient handling practices. Accurate patient record keeping by documenting necessary components within EPIC and ensuring images are sent correctly to the PACS system upon exam completion is essential. You maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.

The estimated base pay for these positions are $63.25 to $74.75 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to scan initiation.
  • Coordinate with physicians for diagnostic imaging.
  • Prepare and explain procedures to patients to ensure comfort.
  • Insert IVs when necessary for tests.
  • Position patients using safe patient handling methods.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure images are correctly sent to the PACS system.
  • Maintain a clean and safe scanning environment.

Job Requirements:

  • Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
  • NYS licensure (must obtain prior to starting position).
  • Two years of CT experience.
  • Level 1 Trauma Center experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association only).
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Patient and compassionate disposition.
  • Team player who maintains a cohesive working environment.
