About the Opportunity:
The CT Technologist/CT Tech position provides essential diagnostic imaging services in both CAT scan and general radiology modalities. This full-time contract role addresses the physical needs of adult and geriatric patients, maintaining orderliness and cleanliness of work areas and adhering to established procedures and safety standards. The technologist demonstrates proficiency in performing CAT Scan Imaging Exams and Radiology Tech responsibilities, including the use of pediatric immobilization devices and managing patient fears. The role requires ability to work independently, exhibit behavior that fosters patient trust, and comply with various hospital and departmental policies. Free housing is provided for the first contract.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $60.50 to $71.50 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct CAT Scan Imaging Exams proficiently, ensuring patient confidence and trust.
- Provide Radiology Tech services, including all diagnostic and fluoroscopic examinations.
- Prepare and document required patient information according to department guidelines.
- Monitor and maintain equipment, supplies, and work area orderliness.
- Address special needs of diverse patient populations, including hearing-impaired and physically challenged individuals.
- Observe bio-safety and radiation safety rules and regulations.
- Perform related duties in PACS and adhere to established hospital and safety policies.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of a program in Radiologic Technology.
- NYSDOH License Required.
- ARRT certification required.
- Ability to work independently and maintain patient trust.
