About the Opportunity:
The Interventional Radiology Technologist provides essential radiologic services, positioning and capturing diagnostic images with precision. This full-time contract role involves working 5×8 hour days with on-call duties, including 5-7 call shifts every 7-week period, where 2-4 shifts may occur on weekends. Team collaboration plays a crucial part in problem resolution, while maintaining patient respect and confidentiality.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $74.25 to $87.75 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducts radiologic assessments and captures diagnostic images.
- Instructs and prepares patients for examinations and assists Radiologist.
- Operates equipment proficiently and reports technical malfunctions.
- Completes procedures promptly and assists in room turnover.
- Secures medication to authorized personnel and serves diverse age groups.
- Maintains competence in using Hospital Information Systems, RIS, and PACS.
- Engages in performance improvement initiatives and maintains confidentiality.
Job Requirements:
- BLS (American Heart Association only).
- Two years of experience in interventional radiology.
- NYS License or eligibility to obtain before start.
- ARRT certification.
- VIR Certification (preferred).
