About the Opportunity:
Join our team as an X-Ray Technologist, providing essential imaging services to patients. This full-time contract position involves verifying patient identity, reviewing physician orders, and utilizing x-ray equipment to produce radiographic images of bones, tissues, and organs. Responsibilities include explaining procedures, positioning patients, operating radiologic equipment safely, and maintaining accurate patient records within electronic systems. You ensure high-quality diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation and promptly address equipment issues. This role offers no call or holiday work, operating Monday to Friday, between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm EST.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $55.00 to $65.00 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from the posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting x-ray imaging as per physician's orders.
- Providing a clear explanation of procedures to patients.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate imaging.
- Monitoring and documenting patient information and image quality.
- Staying informed on radiology best practices and safety protocols.
Job Requirements:
- Completion of formal training from an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- NYS Radiologic Technologist license (or attainment before starting).
- 2 years of experience as an X-ray Technologist.
- BLS certification.
- Experience with c-arm/o-arm in the past 8 months.
- Ability to move or lift patients and stand for extended periods.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
