About the Opportunity:
The Care Manager in the Emergency Department provides comprehensive care management services, focusing on utilization management, inpatient care, and coordination. This is a full-time contract position that requires acute inpatient hospital experience, including proficiency in Interqual, Milliman, and EPIC systems.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $53.62 to $63.37 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) are finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct utilization management assessments and create care plans.
- Provide coordination of care and utilization review.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate and optimize patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress with accuracy and detail.
- Stay informed on current practices and advancements in care management and utilization review.
Job Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree (ASN, ADN) from an accredited Nursing Program.
- Minimum five years of experience in acute inpatient settings.
- Experience with care coordination, utilization review, and discharge planning.
- RN Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
- Computer literacy.
- PRI and Screen certification within three months of employment.
- BLS certification.
- Preference for candidates with leadership experience and advanced degrees in Nursing (BSN, MSN).
