About the Opportunity:
We seek a qualified physician for a contract position, focusing on hematology and oncology care in an outpatient clinic setting. The role involves supporting patients with approximately 60% hematology and 40% solid tumor cases. Deliver care to about 15 patients a day, predominantly follow-ups, supported by an APP and dedicated oncology-trained RNs for infusion services. Participate in tumor board activities with no call required. This part-time contract position spans three days per week.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $3520.00 to $4160.00 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and develop care plans for follow-up visits.
- Provide supervision for APPs and collaborate on order documentation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, participating in tumor board reviews.
- Monitor and document patient progress using Meditech EMR.
- Stay informed on hematology and oncology best practices.
Job Requirements:
- Board Certified in hematology and medical oncology.
- Recent experience in patient-facing roles in similar settings.
- Experience in supervising hematology and oncology infusion therapies preferred.
- Strong skills in patient communication and interdisciplinary collaboration.
