About the Opportunity:
This full-time contract position for a Nurse Midwife specializes in providing obstetric and gynecological care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Responsibilities include performing vaginal deliveries, assisting in C-sections, managing laboring patients, conducting inductions, triaging patients, placing FSE and IUPC, and repairing grade 1 & 2 perineal lacerations. The role involves rounding and admissions within a 10-bed labor unit and a 14-bed postpartum unit. Average patient encounters include 1-2 deliveries within 24 hours and 1-2 clinic patients per day.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $660.00 to $780.00 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct vaginal deliveries and assist in C-sections.
- Manage laboring patients and perform labor inductions.
- Triaging patients in the labor and delivery unit.
- Perform FSE and IUPC placement.
- Repair vaginal lacerations for grade 1 & 2 perineal lacerations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress.
Job Requirements:
- Certified Nurse Midwife with active Washington license.
- Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- At least 1 year of experience in obstetrics or gynecology settings.
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR system.
