About the Opportunity:
This full-time contract opportunity involves providing specialized care to patients in the Burn Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The role demands expertise in managing complex burn injuries, monitoring critical vital signs, implementing care plans, and ensuring patient safety. The nurse interacts with a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal care and support recovery. The estimated base pay for these positions are $53.90 to $63.70 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) are finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments and creating individualized care plans for burn patients.
- Providing advanced burn care and continuous monitoring of patient condition.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals such as physical therapy and respiratory services to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress and responding to acute changes in condition.
- Staying informed on the latest burn treatment protocols and critical care practices.
Job Requirements:
- Active CA RN License.
- Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS for Burn Care.
- Minimum 2 years RN experience with at least 1 year in a Critical Care setting.
- Ability to float to other facilities as needed.
- Preferred: Burn unit experience, 1 year pediatric experience.
- Advanced certifications preferred: CCRN, ABLS, CBRN.
- Proficiency in EPIC charting system.
- Skills in arterial line management, blood product administration, and care of ventilated patients.
