About the Opportunity:
This full-time contract opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department involves providing timely and efficient care to a diverse patient population including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. RNs in this role manage patient conditions such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. Floating is required, and capability to assume charge duties is highly preferred. This position requires wearing a navy blue scrub and utilizes specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusors and Arctic Sun for patient care.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $51.43 to $60.78 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and creating effective care plans.
- Providing acute care and emergency interventions.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient health progression.
- Staying informed on the latest emergency care practices.
Job Requirements:
- Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications.
- Active NY RN license with verification on NURSYS, including all RN licenses.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department, including pediatrics.
- Documented travel experience is required.
- Proficiency in EPIC EMR systems.
