About the Opportunity:
We are looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical-Surgical care. The RN plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care through clinical practice, service excellence, and professional development. This full-time contract position involves rotating shift schedules, including day, evening, and night shifts, with every other weekend, holiday, and on-call requirements. The RN participates in an expanded role which includes taking on responsibilities as a charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $51.70 to $61.10 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from the posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) are finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop comprehensive care plans for patients.
- Provide direct care and education to patients and families in the Medical-Surgical unit.
- Collaborate with doctors, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress and adapt care plans as necessary.
- Stay informed on the latest research and evidence-based practices in Medical-Surgical nursing.
Job Requirements:
- Valid RN License in New York.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a Medical-Surgical setting.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
- Proven telemetry experience.
