About the Opportunity:
This full-time contract position for a Registered Nurse is in the Med Surg Tele department. It focuses on providing comprehensive care to adult patients. The RN supports floating to multiple departments, including Med/Surg, PCU, ICU, ED, and Pediatric, ensuring the delivery of quality patient care. The role requires night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, including weekends and holidays. The estimated base pay for these positions is $48.85 to $57.73 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and create individualized care plans.
- Provide support and therapy for patients in Med/Surg, PCU, ICU, ED, and Pediatric settings.
- Collaborate with a variety of healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care delivery.
- Monitor and document patient progress efficiently using MEDITECH charting systems.
- Stay informed on coronary care practices and implement best practices in patient care.
Job Requirements:
- Current NY nursing license required.
- Coronary Care experience mandatory.
- Completion of at least one successful traveler assignment necessary; first-time travelers are not considered.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills necessary.
- Ability to function well in high-stress situations with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Preferred previous hospital RN experience.
