About the Opportunity
The position involves providing nursing care to oncology patients at the Mission Bay location. This full-time contract role involves elements of case management, patient care coordination, and assisting providers in ordering and obtaining lab and other results. Responsibilities also include triaging patient calls, answering phones, emails, and addressing patient care needs. The position requires the ability to float to other UCSF facilities.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $51.70 to $61.10 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct specific assessments and create care plans.
- Provide patient education related to oncology care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Monitor and document patient progress.
- Stay informed on oncology research and practice updates.
Job Requirements
- CA RN License.
- AHA BLS certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of pediatric oncology experience.
- Experience with Epic charting system.
- Preferred: APHON certification.
- Key skills required: administration of chemotherapy, bone marrow transplant experience.
