About the Opportunity:
The Patient Services Coordinator supports patient care and coordination by ensuring timely and accurate recording of patient demographics, insurance information, patient charges, and collections. Scheduling patient appointments efficiently is crucial. Cross-training occurs in multiple administrative support functions. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $18.67 to $22.07 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting data transcriptions from one EHR to another.
- Assisting with scrubbing patient schedules.
- Handling inbound call queues.
- Entering complete and accurate patient demographic and insurance information.
- Collecting co-payments and entering charge information at check-out.
- Scheduling appointments based on patient requests and provider availability.
- Performing general clerical duties like filing, copying, and managing phone calls.
- Resolving work queues in Epic for follow-up and claim edits.
- Collaborating with the team to improve patient and team outcomes.
- Rounding on patients to ensure meaningful connections and updates.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 1+ years of relevant experience within a healthcare setting.
- EPIC experience required.
- OnBase experience is heavily preferred.
- Customer service skills.
- Proficiency with computer systems.
