About the Opportunity
The Patient Services Coordinator provides comprehensive patient care coordination and ensures accurate patient information management within healthcare facilities. As a key member of the team, you handle patient demographics, insurance details, and manage timely appointment scheduling. This role includes data transcription from one EHR system to another and involves working on computers for extensive hours. This position supports an overbook scenario across multiple locations, ensuring seamless operations across various medical practices. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $18.67 to $22.07 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) are finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct patient registration by entering accurate demographic and insurance details.
- Verify patient charges at check-out and ensure correct insurance information.
- Schedule appointments based on patient requests and provider availability.
- Assist in resolving EPIC Work Queues and analyze billing and insurance queries.
- Collaborate with Revenue Cycle Advocate for error resolution and charge capture.
- Engage in team communication to achieve patient and organizational goals.
- Ensure patient inclusivity and provide process explanations for better understanding.
Job Requirements
- HS Diploma/GED.
- 1+ years of experience in a healthcare setting.
- Experience with EPIC and OnBase preferred.
- Strong customer service skills and computer proficiency.
