About the Opportunity:
Join a dynamic team as a Stepdown Registered Nurse, providing advanced care to patients in a specialized unit. This full-time contract position involves caring for a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, implementing care plans, monitoring vital signs, managing cardiac and respiratory support equipment, and collaborating with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes. This position requires flexibility to float to different UCSF Facilities.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $53.35 to $63.05 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient evaluations and develop care plans.
- Provide cardiac telemetry and non-invasive airway management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV and respiratory services.
- Monitor and document patient progress, focusing on dysrhythmias and cardiovascular conditions.
- Stay informed on transplant procedures and post-operative cardiac care.
Job Requirements:
- CA RN license, BSN, AHA BLS, and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum 2 years of CV TCU/PCU experience with telemetry skills.
- Travel experience required.
- Preferred experience with transplant procedures.
- Strong skills in communication, organization, and documentation.
