About the Opportunity:
This full-time contract position focuses on providing specialized care to patients in the Stepdown unit. As an RN, you conduct comprehensive assessments and develop care plans for pediatric patients transitioning from critical to general care. You float to various units and facilities within the healthcare network as needed. Responsibilities also include administering medications, monitoring patient conditions, and using specialized equipment.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $53.35 to $63.05 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create care plans for pediatric patients in transitional care.
- Provide education and support to patients and families.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, respiratory services, and social services, to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Monitor, document, and report patient progress, condition, and responses to treatments.
- Stay informed on pediatric cardiac care practices and developments.
Job Requirements:
- CA RN License and BSN.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Peds Cardiac Transitional Care and Step Down, with additional experience in PICU.
- PALS and AHA BLS certifications.
- Preferred experience with telemetry, arterial and central lines, and pediatric critical and cardiac care.
- Proficiency in the Epic charting system.
