About the Opportunity:
This full-time contract position for a Physician Assistant in Surgery involves providing care to adult trauma patients in a hospital setting. The role includes participating in the care of patients transferred from other facilities as trauma transfers, with burns being transferred out. Shifts are 11 hours, 7 am to 6 pm, with a preference for 7 shifts in a row, on a 7 on / 7 off schedule.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $117.70 to $139.10 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) are finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and create comprehensive care plans for trauma patients.
- Provide support and expertise in trauma surgery cases.
- Collaborate with trauma surgeons and healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress using the Epic EMR system.
- Stay informed on trauma surgery research and best practices.
Job Requirements:
- Board Certification in trauma surgery.
- Valid SC state license.
- Current ACLS, BLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications.
- A clean medical practice history.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing medicine post-training.
- Proficiency with the Epic EMR system preferred.
