About the Opportunity:
This full-time contract position as a Psych Tech involves providing direct care and clinical services to in-patient psychiatric patients on an individual basis. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living, social and psychiatric rehabilitation activities as directed by the RN, effective communication with patients, and ensuring access to required services. The Psych Tech also informs the RN of any patient changes and participates in rounds and group therapy as needed.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $25.30 to $29.90 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and participate in creating care plans.
- Provide assistance with daily living and psychiatric rehabilitation activities.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals such as RNs to coordinate care.
- Monitor and document patient progress.
- Stay informed on current best practices in psychiatric care.
Job Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in Psychology or Sociology required.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Psych Tech.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
