About the Opportunity
We are partnered with a leading global asset manager that is looking to hire a contract Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Credit Servicing Associate to join their team in El Segundo, CA. This is a newly created position supporting a rapidly expanding portfolio of commercial mortgage loans. This Associate will work closely with multiple internal teams, external partners, and a wide range of real estate finance professionals. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a blend of loan operations, portfolio oversight, financial analysis, and client interaction within a fast-paced investment environment.
The base pay for this position is $50 to $65 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Track borrower compliance with loan requirements and handle routine servicing actions in line with loan documentation
- Support daily servicing operations, including data review, workflow coordination, risk monitoring, and general loan administration.
- Review internal reporting tools to track delinquencies, maturities, call dates, payments, and rate adjustments; update internal systems as needed
- Investigate and resolve loan-related discrepancies in partnership with internal groups
- Coordinate collateral release requests and maintain communication with custodians
- Collect, log, and monitor annual financial statements, rent rolls, and other borrower reporting
- Assist with closing processes for commercial mortgage loans and capital call activities
- Complete ad hoc reporting or special projects as directed by management
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, real estate, or equivalent experience
- 3–5 years of experience in loan servicing, commercial real estate, or a related financial operations role
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables, etc.)
- Prior exposure to commercial real estate lending or CRE credit operations
- Highly self-directed, organized, and capable of managing deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
- General working knowledge of real estate finance, investments, accounting concepts, or insurance principles
