Guidelines for Atlas Search Contingent Workforce
A Successful Relationship
It is our goal at Atlas Search LLC to match your skills and preferences with those required and requested by our clients and to help you in your professional growth. We sincerely hope that your experience here will be challenging, enjoyable, and rewarding. Your success is our success.
Your employment begins with your first assignment and is contingent upon the availability of jobs that match your skills, your ability to perform the functions required, the results of your reference checks/criminal background checks, your availability, and your compliance with company policies.
Your Recruiter will carefully consider the requirements of the client before calling you for an assignment. When you are offered an assignment, you will be informed of the job requirements, hourly pay, location, expected length of the assignment, working hours, and dress code. You should ask questions about the assignment. If you have any hesitations or cannot commit for the full length of the assignment, please notify your Recruiter, or do not accept the assignment. Once accepted, you have made a commitment for the duration of the assignment.
By accepting an assignment, you agree not to accept any employment as a consultant, independent contractor or employee, or work through another staffing agency, at any organization or client of Atlas Search where you have been assigned to work as an employee of Atlas Search or where you were referred for employment by Atlas Search for a period of one year from the latter of the last day worked on assignment through Atlas Search or the date of interview with or resume submitted to an Atlas Search client, unless you receive Atlas Search’s written consent.
Though you may be assigned to work at various locations and clients, Atlas Search is your employer. We pay your wages and we are responsible for your performance. Any questions regarding this relationship, your assignment, or your pay should be directed only to your Recruiter.
Factors for Success
You are a representative of Atlas Search and we expect you to always remember that when interacting with the client managers, their employees, and, in some cases, their clients. When you accept an assignment, you are making a commitment to fulfill the obligations of that assignment – whether temporary or a direct hire opportunity. You should treat each assignment as an opportunity to further your career objectives. To be successful with us, you should:
- Make sure that we have the most current phone number, address, and email address so that we can contact you as quickly as possible when an assignment becomes available. It is your responsibility to respond as quickly as possible when such offers are made.
- Arrive on time each day. Advance notice to us is required if you will be late or cannot report to work for any reason. You must contact your Recruiter, even if you have notified the client.
- Dress appropriately.
- If you are unsure how to handle a sensitive situation, call your Recruiter.
- If the client offers you a different, or a full-time, assignment, you must call your Recruiter.
- Maintain confidentiality. Do not discuss confidential information with anyone but the staff at Atlas Search.
- Time sheets must be completed online through our portal and submitted no later than 10:00 AM each Monday. Your client supervisor will review and approve the hours and will retain a copy for their records.
- When an assignment ends, call your Recruiter and submit your time sheet that day.

Q: Will I be eligible for health benefits?
A: Atlas Search offers eligible, variable hour employees the option to enroll in medical, dental, vision, pre-tax transit and 401(k) benefits.
You are eligible to enroll in pre-tax transit benefits as soon as administratively possible.
As a variable hour employee, you will become initially eligible for medical, dental and vision benefits when you work an average of 130 hours for two consecutive months beginning the 1st of the month coinciding with or following your start date. You will then be offered an opportunity to enroll in benefits as of the 1st of the month following the month it has been determined that you have qualified. For example, if you are hired December 10th and work an average of 130 hours per month for January and February, it will be determined in March if you are eligible and you will be offered benefits effective April 1st.
To be eligible to enroll in the 401(k) plan, you must:
- Be 21 years old;
- Work 500 hours during your first 6 months of employment; if the 500-hour threshold is not met, the next eligibility threshold is 1000 hours in a 12-month period.
Q: Once I become eligible for benefits, will I remain eligible the entire time I work for Atlas Search?
A: Once you have elected benefits, Atlas Search, in compliance with federal Affordable Care Act (ACA) regulations, will monitor your hours worked on a monthly basis. You will be notified at the end of the calendar year whether you continue to be eligible for benefits the following year or whether you have lost eligibility due to not meeting the average working hours requirement.
