About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant to join our client’s multidisciplinary cardiology team in Fair Lawn, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical foundation in cardiovascular health, with a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. This role is integral in supporting the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of patients with acute and chronic cardiac conditions.
The annual base salary range is $115,000 to $135,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments, physical exams, and diagnostics for patients with cardiovascular conditions
- Manage and monitor patients with heart failure, arrhythmias, coronary artery disease, and post-operative recovery
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, and hospital staff to ensure seamless patient care
- Provide consultation and care in both inpatient units (e.g., telemetry, step-down, ICU) and outpatient clinics
- Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and lifestyle modifications
- Order and interpret labs, EKGs, imaging, and other diagnostics
- Participate in care planning, discharge coordination, and transitional care initiatives
- Maintain clear documentation in the EMR and comply with institutional protocols and evidence-based practices
Job Requirements
- Current NP license or PA license and board certification
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a NP or PA in cardiology or a related acute care setting
- Active good standing state license
- Strong clinical decision-making, time management, and communication skills
- Experience working in both hospital and ambulatory settings is highly desirable
- Full-time schedule with rotating coverage across inpatient and outpatient settings
