About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their growing outpatient vein care team in East Orange, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a passion for vascular health and be skilled in diagnosing and managing venous disorders, particularly varicose veins and spider veins. This position involves direct patient care, performing minimally invasive vein procedures, and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
The annual base salary range is $135,000 to $170,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including history-taking and physical exams related to venous disorders
- Perform and assist with ultrasound-guided vein procedures
- Monitor patients throughout treatment and recovery, providing post-procedure care and follow-up
- Educate patients on treatment options, expected outcomes, and preventive measures
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in electronic medical records
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care
Job Requirements
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in New Jersey
- National board certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)
- Prior experience in vein care, dermatology, interventional radiology, or vascular surgery is preferred but not required
- Exceptional communication and patient education skills
