About the Opportunity
Our client is an internationally recognized evidence-based center that provides clinical and wellness services. They are actively seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join their team and report to the Executive Director. The ideal candidate will have experience with onboarding and offboarding, benefit administration, and assisting with payroll. This is a contract opportunity based in White Plains, NY, and they are looking to fill the role as soon as possible.
The base pay for this position is $30 to $40 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate orientation and onboarding for new hires, as well as manage the employee exit process
- Oversee recruitment efforts by drafting job descriptions, posting openings, and managing the full hiring cycle
- Support the administration of employee benefits programs
- Provide guidance to staff and leadership on personnel policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment regulations by staying current on applicable laws
- Organize open enrollment, changes, and benefits training sessions for employees
- Address HR-related questions and concerns from employees
- Assist with payroll processing tasks
- Prepare and send internal updates related to policy changes, benefits, or employee status changes
- Support the management of workers’ compensation claims, including filing reports with insurance carriers, tracking incidents, and overseeing progress
- Maintain accurate, confidential employee records and files
- Handle documentation related to staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance reviews, and classifications
- Administer onboarding and orientation programs for new staff
- Develop and implement talent management processes
- Work with the HR team to create and enhance recruitment strategies
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Human Resources, or related area
- 3+ years of Human Resources experience
- Healthcare experience required
