About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Investment Accounting Manager to join our client’s team in Warren, New Jersey. This role focuses on the accounting and reporting of investments under U.S. GAAP and Statutory standards. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting skills and experience working with investment portfolios, preferably within insurance or financial services.
The base pay range is $70 to $75 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage monthly and quarterly investment close processes
- Prepare and review U.S. statutory schedules and GAAP disclosures for investments
- Support foreign branch and subsidiary reporting
- Collaborate with financial reporting and investment management teams
- Maintain internal controls and assist with fair value and impairment analysis
- Research accounting issues for new investment structures
- Assist with senior leadership reports, reconciliations, and ad-hoc projects
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 7–10 years of accounting experience, with a focus on investment accounting
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP; insurance statutory reporting experience a plus
- Strong Excel skills; PAM and Bloomberg knowledge a plus
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
