About the Opportunity
We’re seeking a compassionate and skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our client’s dynamic primary care team in Brooklyn, NY. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse population, with an emphasis on collaboration, education, and continuous improvement.
The annual base salary range is $130,000 to $180,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history-taking and physical exams
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical evaluations
- Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with best practices and regulatory guidelines
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests to support clinical decision-making
- Educate patients about their health conditions in clear, accessible language
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record system
- Coordinate care by making appropriate referrals and consulting with supervising providers when needed
- Engage in regular team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of care
- Collaborate with medical and administrative staff to ensure seamless care delivery
- Utilize standing orders and support staff effectively to streamline patient care
- Demonstrate openness to feedback and a commitment to professional growth
Job Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a primary care setting
- Experience working with underserved or culturally diverse populations is highly valued
- Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
