About the Opportunity
Our client, a leading hospital in Brooklyn, New York, is seeking experienced Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurses (RNs) for full-time contract roles. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity ICU setting where you will provide critical, patient-centered care. Ideal candidates are confident in their clinical judgment, adept with advanced medical equipment, and thrive in high-pressure environments.
The base pay for this position is $65 to $70 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit
- Administer medications and manage complex medical equipment
- Monitor and assess patients’ conditions, responding to rapid changes
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the interdisciplinary team
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records and charts
- Apply advanced knowledge to perform dosage calculations and interventions
- Adhere to infection control standards and proper PPE usage
Job Requirements
- Current NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license – Required
- TCAR, PALS, ACLS, and BLS certifications – Required
- Minimum 3 years of ICU/Critical Care experience – Required
