About the Opportunity
We are actively seeking an experienced Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) to join our client’s healthcare team in Long Island City, Queens. This is a full-time contract opportunity offering competitive pay up to $73/hour, a consistent weekday schedule, and the chance to work alongside a highly skilled medical team.
The base pay for this position is $68 to $73 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as a liaison between patients and the medical team
- Prepare patients for diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures
- Start intravenous fluids to administer contrast media or special dyes
- Administer barium enemas or solutions prior to procedures
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and overall status during procedures
- Identify and respond to unexpected reactions in patients
- Administer analgesia and sedation under instruction
- Update medical staff on patient progress and status
- Operate and monitor radiology machines to ensure accurate results
- Assist with interpretation of diagnostic images
Job Requirements
- Active New York State RN License
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum of 2 years of Radiology RN experience
- Monday to Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
