About the Opportunity
Our client, a progressive healthcare facility in Bergen County, New Jersey, is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate MRI Technologist to join its imaging team. This role involves operating MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
The base pay for this position is $35 to $55 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct MRI exams with attention to detail, ensuring proper patient positioning, identification, and comfort
- Review and follow safety screening protocols for all patients prior to scanning
- Operate MRI systems and related equipment, ensuring images are properly captured, stored, and accessible in PACS/RIS
- Provide clear communication and reassurance to patients and their families during procedures
- Keep imaging areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety and infection-control standards
- Stay current on new techniques, protocols, and best practices within MRI technology
Job Requirements
- Completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology or MRI Technology
- Active ARRT (MR) certification required
- Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association
- At least 2 years of MRI experience preferred; must demonstrate proficiency in all core imaging procedures
