About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established real estate management office based in Garden City, is seeking a Temporary Office Administrator / Executive Assistant to provide day-to-day administrative and executive support. This is a temporary, on-site role ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a polished, professional demeanor.
The base pay range $21 to $25 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact: manage incoming calls, greet visitors, and support overall office operations
- Coordinate the shared conference room calendar and assist with meeting logistics
- Help staff and visitors with use of conference room tech (with support from an outside consultant if needed)
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, maintain the postage meter, and manage UPS shipping and labels
- Maintain and coordinate calendars for executive leadership, including the Chairman and President
- Draft and send correspondence using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Track and update spreadsheets and assist with presentations and special projects
- Keep office and kitchen areas stocked with supplies, snacks, and beverages
- Input commercial tenant work orders into building management software
- Complete general office errands as needed (post office runs, executive lunch coordination, etc.)
- Maintain confidentiality and manage non-routine tasks with professionalism
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an office environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel); PowerPoint and Visio a plus
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
- Discreet, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task effectively
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
- Familiarity with basic office equipment and scheduling tools
