Our client is seeking a Billing Specialist to become an integral part of their Corporate Finance team in Stamford, CT. The base pay for this position is $37 to $38 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Job Responsibilities
- Innovation & Process Improvement: Enhance efficiency and automation of billing processes, develop reports to support Finance and Data Solutions, address process gaps, and improve internal controls and documentation
- Billing: Prepare quarterly control documents, review new client orders for billing and revenue accuracy, perform invoice analysis, release invoices for manager review, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial excellence
- Treasury Management: Review daily cash receipts, investigate unapplied cash, perform collections, and respond to client inquiries
- Month-End Close: Review revenue entries, prepare AR reconciliations, and track key revenue metrics for month-over-month and quarter-over-quarter analysis
Job Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in corporate/public accounting (financial services industry preferred)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, ASC 606, and financial analysis
- Experience with revenue, treasury management, accounts receivable/payable, and cash reconciliations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Oracle ORMB, NetSuite, or QuickBooks is a plus
- Excellent communication, organizational, and data analysis skills
- CPA and/or degree in accounting preferred
- Knowledge of Salesforce a plus
