About the Opportunity
Our client, a private real estate investment firm, is seeking a Data Analyst to join their FP&A team in New York City. This position offers hands-on exposure to business intelligence, reporting, and analytic process ownership, supporting investment and asset management by ensuring the accuracy, integration, and creative analysis of multiple data sources. This role operates four days per week on-site and one day remote.
The annual base salary range is $90,000 to $100,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Load, verify, and reconcile data from internal systems and third-party sources into Power BI
- Support ongoing maintenance of the firm’s BI and data environments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for analysis and reporting
- Assist with implementation of new data systems, modules, and historical data set integration
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations for end user understanding and decision support
- Partner with stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver creative, actionable analytic solutions
- Support ad hoc reporting requests across all departments and participate in sourcing new data feeds and sources
- Analyze and report on property tax data for portfolio assets
- Summarize and present findings, limitations, and business recommendations based on data insights
- Ensure strong communication and collaboration with all business units
Job Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in data analysis, data modeling, or business intelligence
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; exposure to Power BI Desktop, Power Pivot, and advanced Excel functionality
- Experience with querying and analytical tools—SQL & DAX required; familiarity with R, Python, or PowerShell a plus
- Knowledge of BI solutions, including ETL, data warehousing, and report/dashboard development
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
