About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced academic leader to oversee our client’s Massage and Asian Holistic Health programs in New York City. This role blends program management, faculty leadership, student success oversight, and curriculum coordination — all within a mission-driven higher education environment. You’ll report directly to the Vice President and Dean and serve as the primary leader ensuring strong day-to-day program execution, faculty support, and an exceptional student experience.
The annual base salary range is $80,000 to $85,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
Program & Academic Oversight
- Guide day-to-day operations of the massage and Asian holistic health programs
- Ensure curriculum delivery aligns with institutional standards
- Coordinate course scheduling and faculty assignments
- Support ongoing curriculum review and improvement efforts
- Serve as program liaison to senior academic leadership
Faculty Leadership
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate program faculty
- Support professional development and instructional quality
- Address performance concerns and escalate when appropriate
Student Success & Program Culture
- Foster an inclusive, professional learning environment
- Partner with student services to support retention and progression
- Address student concerns and promote a positive academic climate
Clinical & Experiential Learning
- Oversee practicum and clinical placements
- Maintain strong relationships with community and clinical partners
- Ensure compliance with institutional and accreditation standards
Operations & Institutional Collaboration
- Contribute to reporting, accreditation support, and program reviews
- Support program outreach in collaboration with enrollment and marketing
- Maintain organized program documentation and communication
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Professional licensure or credential in massage therapy and/or Asian holistic health (or eligibility)
- 5+ years of teaching experience in massage, holistic health, or related health professions education
- Experience supporting faculty and coordinating academic programs
- Knowledge of accreditation and regulatory standards
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred Skills
- Master’s or doctoral degree in integrative health, education, or related field
- Advanced training in Asian holistic modalities
- Experience with curriculum development and learning outcomes assessment
- Familiarity with hybrid or online health education
- Track record of faculty mentoring and DEI engagement
