About the Opportunity
We are working with a reputable non-profit organization in New York City that is committed to providing vulnerable communities with housing and culturally sensitive supportive services. They are seeking a skilled Human Resources Recruiter to join their team and support the Human Resources Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring candidates for various positions within the organization. This is a great contract opportunity, and we are looking to fill the position as quickly as possible.
The base pay for this position is $60 to $70 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Screen incoming resumes and application forms
- Provide shortlists of qualified candidates to hiring managers
- Participate in job fairs and host in-house recruitment events
- Collaborate with managers to identify future hiring needs
- Visit all locations and meet with managers to develop program-specific recruiting plans
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with college and university placement offices,
- Ensure that all postings are updated and track sources.
- Provide information on agency services and job opportunities to applicants
Job Requirements
- At least 3 years recruiting experience in health, human services, or non-profit field desirable
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
- MA in Human Resources Management, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP; SPHR/PHR certification a plus
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases
- Understanding of referral programs
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
