About the Opportunity
We are seeking a seasoned and compassionate Physician with a strong foundation in functional and integrative medicine to join our client’s team in New York City. This role involves working with patients experiencing complex, chronic health conditions using a personalized, systems-based approach. Candidates should be comfortable with both conventional diagnostics and holistic treatment modalities.
The annual base salary range is $200,000 to $350,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Familiarity with immune system dysfunction and its role in neuropsychiatric presentations
- Experience diagnosing and managing conditions such as pediatric autoimmune neuropsychiatric disorders and chronic infections (e.g., Lyme disease, EBV)
- Knowledge of immune-modulating therapies including low-dose naltrexone, IVIG, and botanical antimicrobials
- Ability to identify and treat mold-related health issues and chronic inflammatory response syndromes (CIRS)
- Skilled in interpreting mycotoxin and nasal microbiome testing (e.g., MARCoNS)
- Experience with detox protocols using binders, antifungals, and environmental remediation strategies
- Proficient in evaluating heavy metal burden through various testing methods (urine, blood, hair)
- Experience with chelation therapies (oral and IV) and supportive detox strategies
- Understanding of common sources of exposure and organ support during detox
- Expertise in functional GI testing and interpretation (e.g., GI-MAP, Genova)
- Treatment experience with SIBO, dysbiosis, candida, and gut permeability
- Familiarity with therapeutic diets (GAPS, AIP, low FODMAP) and use of herbal antimicrobials, probiotics, and enzymes
- Skilled in assessing and managing adrenal, thyroid, and sex hormone imbalances
- Experience with hormone testing (saliva, serum) and bioidentical hormone replacement therapies
- Knowledge of conditions such as PCOS, menopause, and andropause, and their integrative treatment options
Job Requirements
- Board certification or formal training in functional medicine
- Minimum of 5 years clinical experience in integrative or functional medicine
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-system chronic conditions
- Strong foundation in both traditional and alternative diagnostic tools
