About the Opportunity
Our client is a global investment bank located in New York City. We are looking for a highly motivated support engineer to join our investment banking technology team. The team is involved with application development, business analyses, and end-user support. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background with a focus on supporting critical systems and application used in the investment banking environment. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This is a sixth month consulting role.
The base pay for this position is $40 to $70 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for electronic platforms, in-house applications and other critical systems used by the front-office desks
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted business operations
- Collaborate with the development team to identify root causes of technical issues
- Coordinate with vendors and other internal teams to escalate and resolve issues
- Document support cases and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing for new team members
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in a technical support role, in the context of a front-office environment
- Exposure to ION solutions, MarkitWire, TradeWeb, DealerWeb, BrokerTec, Bloomberg or other trading platforms
- Familiar with Python or C#
