About the Opportunity
Our client is a well-regarded law firm located in New York City and they are eager to hire a highly organized and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join their team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting attorneys throughout all stages of litigation, from case initiation to trial and appeal. This role requires strong research abilities, case management skills, and the capability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. They are currently operating on a hybrid schedule with 3-4 days in the office.
The annual base salary range is $90,000 to $115,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Support attorneys in managing corporate governance litigation (shareholder, board disputes, etc.)
- Prepare, format, and verify legal documents with blue booking standards (pleadings, motions, discovery responses)
- Handle e-filing in state and federal courts
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda
- Organize and maintain case files, including evidence and discovery materials
- Assist in trial preparation, including creating exhibits and deposition summaries
Job Requirements
- Paralegal certification or equivalent experience
- years of experience in corporate governance litigation
- Proficient in blue booking (drafting, editing, formatting legal documents)
- Strong understanding of corporate governance laws and regulations
- Excellent organizational, research, and communication skills
