About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and certified MRI Technologist to join our client’s radiology team in New York City. The ideal candidate will be a graduate of a JRCERT accredited program in MRI technology and a licensed Radiologic Technologist. The MRI Technologist will be responsible for performing MRI procedures to produce high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring patient safety, and providing compassionate care.
The annual base salary range is $90,000 to $120,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations and procedures in accordance with established protocols and guidelines
- Prepare and position patients for MRI scans, ensuring their comfort and safety
- Operate MRI equipment to capture diagnostic images, adjusting settings as necessary to obtain optimal results
- Review and evaluate images for technical quality, ensuring clarity and accuracy for diagnostic purposes
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
- Explain procedures to patients, addressing any concerns and answering questions to ensure understanding and cooperation
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to magnetic fields and radiation
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of MRI equipment, troubleshooting and reporting any technical issues
- Stay current with advancements in MRI technology and techniques through continuing education and professional development
Job Requirements
- Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited program in MRI technology
- Current licensure as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) in[New York
- Certification in MRI technology (ARRT-MR) preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience performing MRI procedures
- Strong understanding of MRI physics, safety protocols, and cross-sectional anatomy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
