About the Opportunity
Our client, an expanding multi-hospital health system in Northern New Jersey, is seeking two Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Neurologists to help revitalize and grow its neurology services at one of its community hospital locations. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and rebuild a neurology program within a supportive, patient-centered hospital network.
The annual base salary range is $245,000 to $400,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage a broad range of neurological conditions in inpatient and outpatient settings
- Provide care for patients with stroke, seizure disorders, traumatic brain injury, and other complex neurologic presentations
- Participate in acute stroke evaluations and collaborate with emergency and critical care teams
- Interpret EEGs, neuroimaging, and other diagnostic studies
- Develop individualized care plans and coordinate follow-up treatment
- Work closely with neurosurgery, rehabilitation, and hospitalist teams
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation within the EMR
- Contribute to program development and quality initiatives
Ideal Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited institution
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
- Fellowship training in Stroke, Epilepsy, or TBI preferred
- Will consider candidates completing fellowship (not accepting physicians directly out of residency without further training)
